Pradera Community Center: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The Pradera Community Center is a fantastic place to gather. Whether you're in the mood for a splash in the pool or want to reserve space to celebrate a special event, the Community Center delivers. Have questions about using or reserving the space? We've put together a list of FAQs to help you out.

Q: Where can a bar-b-que be located?  
A: There are several BBQ's installed just outside the Community Center over in the Park area. However, if a User wants to utilize their own, it will have to be set up somewhere in the turf area in front of the Community Center, not inside the building, on any of the deck areas attached to the building, or inside the pool fence area.

Q: Can we have a caterer?  
A: Yes, however, any provisions they may need for actual cooking (non-microwave items) need to be set up outside in the parking lot somewhere out of the way. We cannot allow any cooking in the building.

Q: Can we rent the pool?  
A: No. The pool cannot be rented for private parties as it is available for the entire community on a daily basis.

Q: Can we have a "pool party" even though we can't rent the pool?
A: Yes, but there is a limit of three pool guests per family, per day. Also, per the pool rules, the lifeguard reserves the right to enforce a ratio on one adult per seven children if inappropriate behavior occurs.  If you plan to hold a “pool party”, you will need to contact the pool management company to arrange for additional lifeguard service, if required depending on the amount of attendees.  Costs for extra lifeguard service will be paid for by the party organizer directly to the pool management company.

Q: What hours is the Community Center available for an event?   
A: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Q: How many User functions are reserved per day?
A: One User function per day can be reserved.

Q: Where can I get a copy of the Community Center Use Agreement?     
A: It is available at the praderacolorado.com website, under the Community Center tab.

Q: How much seating is available with the furniture already in the Community Center?
A: 17 total seating consisting of 10 card table chairs, 4 upholstered chairs and a couch.

Q: Can we bring in additional tables and chairs? 
A: Yes.

Q: Can the couch and chairs be moved out onto the balcony or front porch to make room?
A: No, all furniture must remain inside at all times.

Q: Can we hire a DJ?
A: Yes, but remember that the DJ must be inside the Community Center and the music should not be heard by pool guests or nearby neighbors.

Q: Can we bring in a TV? 

A: Yes.
